Annual Conference a Success

More than 180 people were in attendance for the 51st Annual Conference held at the beautiful Prescott Resort.

The GFOAz Education Committee did an excellent job providing members with first-class training experience. GFOAz thanks all of its sponsors for their continued support, those who presented during the conference, and all of the members in attendance for making this another great conference.

Welcome to New GFOAz Board Members

The GFOAz Board welcomes its newest board members, Sonia Andrews and Lindsey Duncan! Sonia Andrews is the finance manager for the City of Peoria and Lindsey Duncan is the finance director for the City of Surprise.

The GFOAz Board also recognizes Ben Ronquillo as the President-Elect. Ben is the finance director for the City of Litchfield Park. He has served on the GFOAz Board since October 2013 and was re-elected to the board in 2015.

Spring GFOAz Training: Census Data and Grants

GFOAz is pleased to present its May quarterly training on Thursday, May 7. This year's training will include two concurrent trainings. One will be an all-day training on grant lifecycle management. The other training will cover how to use U.S. Census Bureau data. Read more

GFOAz 2015 Scholarship Winners

This year GFOAz awarded two scholarships to GFOAz members to attend the 2015 winter conference in Prescott, February 18-20. This year's winners were: James Fults, accountant for the City of Casa Grande and Joseph Jarvis, finance director for the City of Globe.
